We are grounded!

Well, here is the latest saga.......Tonight for FHE we had the JoVo's at our apartment. We were given some extra money for the YSA's, so to have a special Valentine treat we thought having Pizza would be fun. Dad, and Glenn went to get the Pizza while I stayed here with the few that had arrived early. We waited and waited, and no dad. Finally the phone rang and it was dad. An 'undercover police' had pulled dad over, saying he had run a red light........asked to see dad's Drivers License......asked how long dad had been here......13 months.......was told the Utah License was only good for one year, and he needed an International License to drive. The Policeman would not even let dad drive home. Two of the YSA's had to go get the car and drive dad and Glenn home. We were told by the MISSION when we came ,that we did NOT need an International License for the 18 months we were here. Dad got a ticket.......may be 500 euros, for NOT having the International License, and we cannot drive our car until we get the License. Needless to say we are feeling a bit low tonight. We called Elder Pankratz and he was speechless. To License all the Senior Couples will cost the mission LOTS of money......so what are we going to do??????? We have Zone Training in Leiden on Wednesday, Institute Wednesday night, a JoVo activity in Almere Friday. We may be coming home sooner than we thought. For 4 months, I don't know if it would be worth the cost to get us a very expensive license for such short use. We will be anxious to see what will happen......this affects all the Senior Couples. Meanwhile, we walk or ride bikes I guess. Stay tuned........we are NOT happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
